The curriculum
Each rating band fails for different reasons. Pick your band — the diagnosis is honest and the lessons are short, because the real training happens on the board.
Stop giving pieces away
4 lessonsAt this level roughly 70% of losses come from one thing: pieces left hanging or simple tactics missed. Openings and strategy barely matter yet — board vision decides everything. The fastest rating gain in chess is here.
From moves to plans
4 lessonsBlunders now cause only ~40% of your losses. The rest: you leave the opening without understanding what it was FOR, and you drift after move 15 — moving pieces without a plan while your opponent executes one. This track (and the plan cards it points to) attacks exactly that.
Structures, conversion, calculation
4 lessonsYou reach playable middlegames but can't convert small edges, your plans are vague ('attack something'), and calculation is inconsistent — brilliant one move, blind the next. The fixes: pawn-structure literacy, a conversion method, and a calculation routine.
Critical moments and defence
4 lessonsTechnique is decent; games are decided by a handful of critical moments — recognising them, spending time on them, and defending resourcefully when worse. Also: your openings now need real depth in YOUR pet structures, not breadth.
